Hello and Welcome.

Hello! My name is Sarah or Gold Leaf Clouds, and welcome to my creative journey! I focus on environmental portraits, events, and weddings. Check out my contact page if you’d like to book with me! For my prints and personal projects, I shoot a lot of film and have been incorporating more digital photography into my work. You’ll find a lot of photos of nature, plants, and flowers, but also random other things. My photos reflect my love of traveling, exploring, camping, and being surrounded by nature. While my focus is on photography, I also love writing and poetry. I hope to periodically share my writings with you. Please enjoy my work, as I drift from subject matter and mediums, I think you’ll find something here you like. Keep scrolling to find my gallery shows and markets. Thanks for reading!

How I picked the name Gold Leaf Clouds:

It was 2am back in 2018 and I couldn't sleep, but I knew I wanted to start an Instagram page. I wasn't sure what direction it would take, but I wanted it to incorporate the phrase "every cloud has a silver lining." I loved the sky and I loved the clouds and I was always looking for a glimmer of hope. But silver didn't sit quite right with me, I preferred to wear gold. Gold reminded me of the sunset and what better way to represent the sun's rays than with gold leaf? My original intent was to share my house plants, and believe it or not, my plants had a lot of leaves. So gold to represent the warmth of the sunset, leaf to represent my love of plants, and clouds to remind me that every cloud has a silver lining.

I'm so thankful I started endeavor. I had no idea how I'd fall in love with photography through it. I had no idea what beautiful community I would find through photography. All because I wanted to share my little plant collection. Thank you all for viewing and supporting ❤️ I hope you find your silver linings ❤️
